Dr. Irene Lin is a passionate and globally-minded executive coach who brings her extensive knowledge and experience to the practice of coaching. With her insightful perspectives and rich business and life experiences, she helps client executives enhance their self-confidence and leadership skills, build high-performance teams, lead change and transformations effectively, and make better decisions, ultimately enabling them to achieve elevated results while enhancing their personal growth and satisfaction. She is a PCC-level coach by the ICF.
The trigger to her discovery of coaching as her passion was a solidly-designed Co-Active coach training program she took in 2014, which had sparked her awareness of the difference between the Doing-mindset and Being mindset, and rekindled her dream of becoming a teacher. Driven by her love of coaching, she became a devoted internal coach while performing her routine work at BASF. In 2017, Irene left her corporate job to focus on coaching, leadership development and management consulting.
Operating as an executive coach, Irene works with corporate executives, entrepreneurial CEOs and their Leadership Teams, in helping them identify growth opportunities in leadership, performance and personal aspirations, and tackle their challenge in career and life transitions.
Prior to coaching, Irene was General Manager for BASF’s Electronic Materials Division in Singapore and Malaysia. In this role, Irene led and implemented the GROW strategy for her business, resulting in significant business growth and overall operating cost reduction. Before her GM experience, she worked in BASF Germany for a few years leading the "Excellent Quality" project of Electronic Materials Europe. Her strategies and measures to improve & implement product quality and reduce quality costs were highly recognized by top management, which had paved way for her promotion to the GM position.
Before her assignment in Germany, she joined BASF in China as a Quality Manager. She established a quality management system for electronic chemical and helped semiconductor customers resolve quality-related issues. In 2007, Irene was promoted to senior manager and moved to BASF Taiwan, where she developed a quality control strategy for Asia and oversaw the implementation of regional laboratories.
Irene’s work experience in different countries and regions of BASF Group has broadened her international vision and provided her with valuable experience in leadership, marketing, business development, corporate management, quality management, project management, and more.
Before BASF, Irene worked for TECH Semiconductor as a Quality Engineer for 4 years, and she had been a lecturer at Shantou University for 6 years.
Irene got her PCC credentials in 2022 and completed her NLP training earlier. Irene got her PhD in Chemical Engineering from National University of Singapore (NUS), and her MS and BS in Chemical Engineering from South China University of Technology.
